Contoured milling is the formation of any shape of the element through machining / milling.
Most often such an operation is performed with a ball milling cutter. A characteristic parameter of this kind of processing is so-called "drilling". It is based on the "dense" arrangement of the tool paths next to each other.
This distance depends on the type of material being processed, from 0.02 to 0.3 mm. Thanks to this, it is possible to make smooth 3D surfaces of the NURBS type. Lamp elements (1) are milled in the visible image.
